I am glad you told her.
You should not fear being honest. From experience I will tell you that we all make mistakes.
I made a mistake as new employee once. It could have cost me my job, I went to my boss and told her, she hired a team to correct the mistake and that was pricey.
But, had I tried to conceal it, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten caught, but then again my boss wouldn’t have known how trustworthy I was and I wouldn’t have known how much she was willing to work with a young inexperienced kid like me (at the time).
Tell the truth, and do not fear.
Pray, ask the Holy Spirit to help you, Hope and Do Not Worry. Plenty of us make mistakes, even costly ones.

Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.
Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
