We do an overview of world religions. Of course Islam is presented glowingly, rather than the barbarian Catholics.
I’ve said something similar to you in another post. If you are in a U.S. public school, the information you are getting in history or social studies or classes like those is going to have to be taken with a grain of salt at best.

Do you have any resources for a less biased world and American history, or to be safe a Catholic slanted world or American history?

No but always know what the authors motivation is and who they align with. I don’t read anything about history but mabey you could find some info by starting a new thread asking for time tested sources on history.

I admit, after a friend of mine on social media became a Muslim, my twitter timeline is filled with islamic-type tweets, if that makes sense. I don’t know if I would call it a “pull”, but I began wondering if maybe islam was right and christianity was wrong. I mean, honestly if they are right, we committed a hugeee sin because we worship Jesus. And then I look at some of their scriptures/etc and then I realise that Christianity is definitely from God.

Basically this cycle continues. But one thing that has helped is to watch debates on YouTube. That way, you see the Christian pointing out the flaw in Islam, and then you see if the Muslim can refute it. This could be dangerous though, because you could believe in the Muslim’s arguments. But the ones I watched, the Christian’s arguments were waay better. Besides debates, try muslim to christian conversion stories. A lot of them experienced the same thing.

If you ask for my opinion, I feel like the pull exists bc Islam is easy. I mean, the trinity is so hard to explain, jesus being a man and praying to God, etc. I mean come on, it’s not easy to explain, it does take a while to get it. However islam basically says “jesus is a great prophet, that’s all. There’s only one god, no trinity, the quran is directly from god, etc” it’s not complicated. Usually people who don’t know much about Christianity will some sort of pull to Islam.

I don’t mean to say you don’t know anything! But for me, it made sense. Once I joined this forum, started reading more about the Catholic faith, as well as Islam too (the true teachings, the hadiths, etc), I realised that the appeal is gone. It’s honestly not that great, in fact some of the stuff they believe is quite shocking. No disrespect to Muslims, though. But I advise you to do a lot of research on things you aren’t sure about your own faith first

I will report anyone who tries to tell me to pursue Islam, or hints at it. That’s a promise. I don’t take those lightly.

I struggle with all faiths. And some impurities. And some improprieties. But Islam is the battle of my recent days. The strange pull, it being taught in school, etc.

I used answeringislam.org until I realized that they probably take the Koran and Hadiths out of context.

I am here for free apologetics sources that do it right, like Catholic Answers in regard to their target audience, atheists and Protestants.

As well, could someone answer the pull to it? Is it of the devil. But we would consider a pull to Catholicism of the Spirit. Bit of a double standard.

Please keep in mind the first paragraph and respond, Christian CAFers.
In all honesty Islam is one of those religions that is the weakest to me, simply because their idea of God is incomplete.

Moslems teach God as One, but they reject the doctrine of Trinity.

If that is so, then for them God is not love. Love can only exist in a community like the Three Persons in the Triune God.
As Widlast says above, that bears the fruit of a harsh God and thus a harsh religion. I am actually not surprised with the presence of Islamic extremists, because of this.
