I'm teachng a class on mary and would like topics to adress

Hi everyone! I am teaching a class on Mary tonight :coffeeread: and I have it pretty much set, but I would like to know what questions you would like to have answered if you were in an Adult faith Formation class about Mary. My thinking is that my students will more than likely have the same questions as most people in the threads, and so I would appreciate any questions that you may have so that I can prepare for my class tonight. The regular stuff is already covered (the dogmas, her intercession, no we do not worship mary, etc) so please don’t put those down. Thanks, Glen
 
I would say an explanation of her title as MOther of God would be good.

thanks, I taught that last week though (tonight is the last class) when we went through the dogma of Theotokos. I should have specified-tonight is more about developing a relationship with Mary through devotion. I would like to help people come to know the person of Mary. Any thoughts?
 
If you have the information of “Stations of the Cross from Mary’s point of view”, it will be a powerful thing to introduce to your class.

This past Holy Saturday, I was doing this with two other ladies in our small Chapel. We took turns to read the Stations of the Cross from Mary’s point of view. When I read it, I just could not help cry. It was so profound, so moving and so sorrowful. It brings one into Mary’s heart to experience the Passion of her son.

I don’t have that booklet, I searched online but could not find it.
The lady who had the booklet said she got it somewhere from Connecticut. You may not be able to find it within such a short time. But I thought I just mention it anyway. To experience our Lord’s Passion from His and our Mother’s viewpoint is something good to dwell upon.
 
I think it would be helpful to include information on why Catholics hold Mary in so much more esteem than Protestants. Also something about apparitions, perhaps including information about how the church doesn’t simply immediately accept them, but investigates, etc.

(This may be my personal bias. I’m involved in RCIA and the folks there want to know not only what the Church teaches but how to defend the teachings when they’re questioned by Protestant friends, family, co-workers, etc.)

Today is a great day to start the 33 days journey to dedicate oneself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

You should mention that God is sending His great Grace to us each day through Our Mother, Mary.
