Who said any of that?
Here is what was written:
no matter what books, articles or whatever you read the only thing that counts is what the Church officially teaches.
So make a point please that we can mutually address.
You, on your own, are proposing that everything certain individuals say is magisterial teaching. And it’s not. Some of the writing of saints is incorporated into magisterial teaching and some is not. Simple as that. We are not fundamentalists.

And just for the sake of clarity, you addressed your response to my post, not @thistle .
Let’s have good faith discussion not cherry picked quotes and straw men.

I thought I said that it counts when the following are all in agreement:
St. Thomas, the Prince of theologian
St. Augustine, the greatest of the holy doctors
St. Cyril of Alexandria
Father Paul O’Sullivan
HIS EMINENCE THE CARDINAL PATRIARCH OF LISBON.

What you are doing is belaboring easily discernable points in a contentious manner. Why do you do that?

What’s your point?
If you have a beef, just spit it out and let’s talk about it. Throwing out of context one liners at people is not discussion.

I have already explained my point more than once. I don’t see where the Magisterium has officially declared that the following individuals were in error in their discussion on Purgatory:
St. Thomas, the Prince of theologian
St. Augustine, the greatest of the holy doctors
St. Cyril of Alexandria
Father Paul O’Sullivan
HIS EMINENCE THE CARDINAL PATRIARCH OF LISBON.

Surely you know the Magisterium does not set out to declare and prove every “error”, as you call it.
