I’m losing my faith in God. It hurts worse than heartbreak. It’s so bad I’ve taken up smoking. Pray for me. Thank you

I’m deeply depressed too, its been on and off for a long while. May we never look away from the Lord, what do we gain when we turn our back to the Lord? Surely we have our love in God always. Pray without ceasing, in ALL circumstances give thanks. Even when we don’t feel accomplished, our Lord has blessed us with our creation, another day of living, and ways to grow our faith in him. Even in detrimental times, I never felt so alone in my life, yet I have gotten closer to the Father Almighty in ways I didn’t think I would do. Now I want to become a master catechist later down the road.

Are we struggling? Yes, but why would losing faith in our Father bring? Eternal life? Nope, may we thank him and I encourage you to read the book of Job.

Depression is something I have to deal with, but may we get to the strength of the Lord to let it pass us without hindrance to our Creator. He has done so much for me, why should I ask for more than what he has already given me?

What’s the point? I’m starting to think that He doesn’t care

I struggle from depression and thank you for understanding me

I wish you well in your journey. Depression is a long dark road and I pray you will fight through it.
The only advice I can offer is get help. If you already are- continue with it and keep fighting.

Remember you are made in the Image of God. Remember you are unique. Remember you are more valuable to God than you can imagine. Remember God sent his Son to die for you.

Whatever problem you are having that can’t be fixed, God can you give peace at the personal level.

No problem! Ever want to talk Im here, Christ helps more than what we see.

Suffering is a fact of life, by accepting that and with God’s help, we can achieve inner peace.

I’m no diagnostician, but I have known a number of people who suffered from depression and my daughter is a nurse practitioner certified in psych who treats several patients per day. I do not represent to you that medication is a cure-all, but it can make a great deal of difference if the person prescribing it really knows what he/she is doing. Unfortunately, a lot of practitioners don’t. Brain chemistry is a tricky thing and therefore the pharmacology is too.

It’s like diabetes in a way; a condition in which the body does not produce the right “chemistry” to deal with life.
