Do you think it is okay to ummm…yeah with an imaginary friend? Is that commiting adultery?

I’m not going to explain my situation, it would sound too weird.

It is lustful, it is grave sin, …nothing okay about it. Repent of this lewd sin, go to confession if you are Catholic, for the sake of your soul. You know it is weird, so clean up your act and come back to reality and wholesome living with real people relationships. Please take my comments in all charity.

This is a joke right? I got rid of my imaginary friend at age four! I think it is time to give her the boot.😃

Blunt, but true.

**Entertaining lustful thoughts is a sin. Doesn’t matter if it is in a daydream/fantasy, with an imaginary friend:confused: , or with another person. **

It’s grave matter, too. Go to confession.

There’s a lot of confusion about fantasizing about sex. The culture tells you that it is healthy. All the magazines encourage it.

No wonder so many people don’t realize that it can be a mortal sin.

This is called having impure thoughts which is a sin that needs to be confessed and done no more.

no it is a sin against the ninth commandment. talk to your confessor about it, this is not confession.

I think it is easier for people to bare their concerns in an anonymous forum.
how many people here claim “I am too embarrassed to tell the priest” yet think nothing of telling thousands of strangers in cyberland. that is just plain sick.

As a priest once told me, everyone has thoughts that come and go during the day.
It’s when you obsess with a thought, that it is not good.
I had several forms of sexual sin in my life.
Fantasies included.
God was able to heal me of this addiction because I took it to confession.
Every bit of it.
Please don’t hesitate to go to confession.
Please know that you are not the only one who has had this kind of problem.

Lusting after anyone is a sin imaginary or not. Most cases of lust are imaginary. We imagine the act without engaging in it. It is commiting adultery in your heart. It’s all weird to God because He invented sex for marriage. Anyway, get yourself to confession. Mostly everyone here falls in this area so you are not alone… God Bless…🙂

Meh. in my opinion, its fine. hate to sound crude, but i remember some of my thingy dreams. hehehehe. wait, did i just say that out loud?:o :o :o

dreams, which aren’t under our conscious control, are different to deliberately choosing to fantasise about sex.

I admire your courage to ask this question. You are not alone in your struggle. There are no stupid questions when it comes to developing your relationship with God. My prayers are with you and continue seeking the truth!

Blessings,
Heather

While it might not be adultry it’s still a sin against chastity. This sort of thing can only lead to worse sin. Like self gratification, and fornication. Pray and do your best to have pure thoughts.

You’re committing the sin of lust…it’s not ok.
