Figured I might as well up the ante! 😃

My top three:
  1. Communion on the tongue ONLY plus mandate the use of patens.
  2. No EMHCs unless EXTREME need (like greater than 500 people per priest).
  3. Much more increased emphasis on priestly and religious vocations.
Each bishop would be made accountable to me on all three of these issues.

Wow … too rich for my blood.

Will be interesting to see what others say. 🙂

  1. Give the Papacy back to Benedict XVI. He knows the job a lot better than me 😉

And he was smart (and humble) enough that he did not want it.

When the Holy Spirit chooses you, the Holy Spirit will guide you. It is God who should be deciding how the Church should be guided, not the personal preference of the Pope.

We need EMHC’s. We have 10 Masses on Sundays to accommodate all the parishioners that attend Mass. All 10 have much more than 500 people attending.
Our parish has 14,000 parishioners and we get about 80% Sunday attendance.

The definitive answer. Well done. The rest is noise.
Definitely agreed! Besides, I’m female so that’s not a possibility in my wildest dreams, and I wouldn’t want to be anything other than what He made me.😉

wooooooooooooaaahhhhhhhh… :bigyikes:  That…is…AWESOME!!

I have one…

allow priests to marry - we already have married priests from converts, why not let the originals do it?

and yes, I am prepared to be slammed by some here.

  1. I would consider allowing married deacons to become priests after a period of ten years of service as a deacon. This would be discerned very carefully, on a case-by-case basis.
  2. Mandate that the proper order of the Initiation Sacraments be restored over a period of the next five years, with First Confession and Confirmation to be held typically from age four to age six, followed by First Holy Communion at age seven or above.
  3. Restore the liturgical calendar to recognize the Season after Epiphany and the Season after Pentecost, with appropriate Mass readings for each.

restore the original order of the sacraments of initiation and return to the Eastern practice of initiation complete shortly after birth, with “second” communion preceded by appropriate catechesis and first confession during the elementary school years, and regular catechesis of children through high school.

1.) Make the mass half latin half vernacular

2.) Mandate that communion should be reieved kneeling in the mouth.

3.) make religouis orders wear habits

  1. Make it mandatory for all Catholics to study the documents of the Council of Trent and Vatican I and II.
  2. Encourage the study of the history of the Catholic faith.
  3. Encourage more study of the life of Christ outside of the Mass.

As pope, I think that the best thing I could work on changing for the good of the Church would be:
  1. Me
  2. Myself
  3. I

And he was smart (and humble) enough that he did not want it.

Very wise answer:thumbsup:

  1. Appoint Aidan Nichols O.P. to Westminster.
  2. Publically excommunicate any “Catholic” politician who votes in favour of abortion/euthanasia.
  3. Make celebration ad orientem the norm for the Latin Church.
