But we needn’t worry if one of those heretical cardinals would, some way, somehow, get elected Pope, because once a cardinal becomes Pope, all of that heresy just evaporates away like dew in the morning sun, and it’s all good… right? The gift of discernment falls upon him, and he quits being a heretic. Isn’t that how it would work?

And that Bellarmine and Suarez, in speaking of the possibility of a heretical Pope, were just worrying about a hypothetical that can never happen (they only differed in how that Pope gets removed from the papacy, whether he may be deposed, or whether he is deposed ipso facto, Bellarmine says yes to the latter, Suarez says no)?
