Is it sinful at all to read the sexual content warnings on iMDB? If I'm curious about a show I will go thru the sexual content warnings to decide if I want to watch it or not, the warnings can be quite explicit sometimes so I was wondering if this is ok to do.

If I see movies everyone is raving about I’ll go look at the content warnings for that too and it’s usually pretty bad, seems like the more sex in movies are the ones that get the highest ratings.

Just wondering if reading this stuff is a mortal sin, sometimes I get bad thoughts but I pray a quick Hail Mary to avoid lust. Any idea if this is a sin?
 
Far from being sinful, it is actually a good thing, to know whether a movie you are planning to see will be objectionable or not.

If your sensitivities are such that merely reading about such content is troubling to you, I strongly recommend that you speak with a priest and ask him if this could be scrupulosity. I am a mere layman and am not able to help with issues such as this. The priest is there to help you with such matters.
