Sorry, we know that May left the temple as soon as (or even before) her menses started. That was perhaps when she was about ten years old. She lived with Joseph all her life and they both used to close thier door upon public eyes every night. That means they were living as husband and wife.

I wanted to know whether these things should be discussed here?? We have proof from our books that jospeh and Mary lived like husband and wife behind closed doors all the time. Why??
Aside from being incorrect, this is off topic. If you want to discuss, start a separate thread. This thread is about whether someone should imitate the prophet Mohamed, not the age of Mary, whether she was a virgin and accusing Joseph of being a pedophile.

It appears that we are not allowed to talk about Mary being married to Joseph the capentor at a very young age and also we may not say a word here about Jesus too because that would go off topic. Thanks.

So please, be kind enough and be honest to post some Merits of Muhammad here instead of posting only the abusive words. Do you see anything good in Muhammad at all? I can tell you of one good thing that Muhammad admitted Jesus And Zakariyya and John the Baptist as a prophet of God. Otherwise who would have believed in them? The Jews had already rejected JTB and Jesus.

That’s not fair. It’s a free world (in some countries). We should be allowed to say whatever we want - provided it is true. No lies please.
Do you see anything good in Muhammad at all?..
He thought Mary was the highest woman in heaven. (I don’t have the quote - but I have heard of that somewhere.) That’s something good, I think.

As I said, if you want to dicuss those topics, start a thread on them. No one is stopping you from discussing it. But it is against forum rules to hijack a thread and change the topic.

I am sorry, I cannot think of any of Mohamed’s merits.

**He did not have to think. He (Muhammad) was told by Allah (in the Quran) that Mary was a great truthful lady of great status with God. That was the best example of a believer in God. That she fulfilled the promise made with God.

That was according to words of quran. Then Muhammad personally spoke very good words about mary and Jesus. But many people do not understand those words. I am not presenting them here. But those words mean that Mary and Jesus are sinless such that devil does not come near them. Mary and Jesus are representing a class of people who are not tempted (troubled) by the devil. Devil does not disturb them.**

I have problem with this. If you think Allah spoke to Mohammad, you’re not telling the truth. It was Gabriel. The angel Gabriel. This angel was a suspect. A good angel would tell the truth and would have said that Jesus is the Son of God. Bad angel also knows of this fact, but because he is very tricky, he would cheat and lie.

Your Mohammad was a victim of a bad angel’s lie. The good words he had for Jesus were actually insult and blasphemy.

So there you are with regards to this unfortunate man, Mohammad.

The Quran isn’t against this kind of Son of God:

Romans 8:14-16 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

The Quran is against that God came down like Zeus and made Mary pregnant with a demigod.

How exactly is it that Christians think Jesus is the Son of God? How does he come to be that way, if not just a spiritual one like Romans 8:14 says we all can be, and if not like one from a Zeus/mortal breeding which the Quran is against?

Jesus is a Son of God. See the BIG S?

Why don’t you quote all of Roman 8. Oh, how beautiful! You know why believers can be sons of God? Do you know why? Just read all of Roman 8 and tell me the answer tomorrow. I got to go now.

Happy reading.

Yes, I know that the Greek has been capitalized or not in translation. I’m asking how Christians think Jesus is Son of God, if not just a spiritual one like Romans 8 says, and if not like a son of Zeus bred with a mortal which the Quran is against?

How do these last few posts relate to the subject of this thread? Which is whether Mohamed is a person whose behavior should be imitated.

I think you should get yourself a lesson in the Trinity. Start a new thread if you must.

** I never knew anything about this son business. But i have learnt some difficult things recently on this forum that:
  1. Jesus created everything.
  2. That he must have created his mother (Mary) too.
  3. That he created his father (David) too.
  4. That Jesus had a father (God) whom he used to address in his prayers and whom he used to call for help.
  5. That Jesus creaed that Father (God) too. He was the father or creator of the great father (God).
It is becoming highly complicated. I did not know any of these things till now. I hope he Jesus must have created the holy spirit too. So where we go from here please. We Muslims know exactly what Jesus taught and what he did and what happened to him. In all honesty, we cannot understand the present day christianity.

:nope: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit always existed. They were not created.

blah blah blah

We know.

This is what I’ve been whining about. When you want to talk about Mohammad because that’s the topic of the thread, inevitably you’ll be dragged away into talking about something else. Diversion or attempting to avoid the subject? Well I don’t know, nobody admit as such. But it’s pretty hard to get a flow of discussion on Mohammad.

Well, like they say, if you can’t beat em, join em. 🤷

None of this says how God’s Word can always exist with God, but yet is begotten by God at some point as the Son. So it is not always existing with God as God, if it is begotten by God.

Is anyone able to explain this, and also how exactly Jesus is God’s Son? How was he born from God?

We’re way off topic now. I think you should start a new thread - preferably in the Apologetics forum.

It may be hard to understand but it is not that complicated. You start with a wrong premise and that could be the problem in your difficulty of understanding.

Jesus is not a demigod model on Greek or Eygptian mythology, as what Faithof Abraham like to understand.

Jesus is both true man and true God. When he was a man, he was a true man, but the God nature of him still exist. It not like when he was a man, he was not God. But as a man, like a any man, he may not know the mind of the Father, unless the Father chose to reveal to him. In any case, much was revealed by the Father to him as a man, that he was able to teach with authority.

Take a gentle breath and try to grasp that, then the understanding of Jesus can become quite clear.

Now, from what we have seen, an average guy with an average intelligence is able to understand Christianity and the concept of the Trinity pretty easily. Muslims who are with average and above average intelligence should be no different, and should be able to grasp the basic concept.

The reason why you do not understand, and may I suggest, is that you have been completely brainwashed by the Satanic teaching of Mohammad that says Jesus is a mere man, did not die on the cross and did not rise from the dead. Satan, we know, can oppress and possess a man mind. You will always be deaf eventhough you have ears, and blind eventhough you have eyes, because of the power of the Evil One that has completely dominate those faculties in you.

Only Jesus can break that chain of that imprisonment. If only you belief that he can. Many have experienced what you experienced, and when they accepted Jesus, the scales fell off from their eyes and they could see, to see the truth and be liberated.

Something to think about.

If Jesus is God’s Word that always existed with God as God, how can God be His own Son that begat Himself at some point?

So that’s why I ask, how is Jesus God’s Son, if not by the spirit which means he could never have been both begotten by God and exist eternally as God. Or by flesh, if you say he is not a demigod sired by a Zeus-type mating between God and Mary. None of that is clear at all.

But it’s really clear as I teach it, that Jesus is just God’s son like all the faithful are children of God.
