:yup:
:yup: Why not? If God can create everything, then why not his mother?
:yup:
:yup:
:nope: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit always existed. They were not created.

blah blah blah

We know.
Around here, sarcasm just doesn’t work. Unfortunately, earnest explanation also sometimes falls on deaf ears. But do not give up because there are readers here with a more discerning mind that may benefit from a reasonable explanation. For example in this thread, there 1057 viewers for the 97 posts that’s been entered.

Peace. 🙂

Also, if you do a search on these forums, there is plenty of information on the trinity.
Now for your enjoyment, back to Immitation of Mohhamed???

If Jesus is God’s Word that always existed with God as God, how can God be His own Son that begat Himself at some point?

So that’s why I ask, how is Jesus God’s Son, if not by the spirit which means he could never have been both begotten by God and exist eternally as God. Or by flesh, if you say he is not a demigod sired by a Zeus-type mating between God and Mary. None of that is clear at all.

But it’s really clear as I teach it, that Jesus is just God’s son like all the faithful are children of God.
There is nothing that is impossible with God. And may I ask, why can’t God?

With some luck you may get one. But I’m an unlucky guy, so I don’t put much hope.

Anyway, I don’t mind to continue teaching some basic catechism here … 😉

I imitate his teachings on Trinity, so that’s what I’m asking about, to see which teaching is superior and less confusing, his or the RCC.

Firstly, if you can find away to see beyond your limitations of Islam, you might be able to understand what this means.
Im not being cruel in saying that, but i dont think you understand what the trinity means and need to be educated about it and have an open mind to the understanding of it, and also pray to God to show you real truth.

I think i saw it somewhere on these forums, but the probably a good way of explaining this is, you are seeing the trinity as 1+1+1=1… now that doesnt makes sense, if you look at it as 111=1, that makes more sense.
Its more like the family perspective, if you have a father and mother, put them together and they become one when they are married, eventually they will have a child, that child becomes one part of the family. Do you see what im trying to say?
Im not the best at explaining things, hence the reason im not the best at explaining apologetics…

If you say that the mother and father exist eternally as God but later have a child at some point, and that child is the Son God’s Word, then God’s Word cannot exist eternally with the parents as God, it comes later. So that doesn’t clarify much.

God’s superior teaching is the RCC, its the truth, plain and simple.
Its imitation prophets that came after Jesus that lead to all this confusion in the first place!

Im not saying its exactly like our families, the point im trying to get across is what God has created between himself, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is like a family unit, there is 3 person within the one family unit, its probably the best way to explain it to people that dont understand…

Imitate his teachings? I suppose I can point you to John 10:30, where Jesus says “I and the Father are one”.

But I really think you should start a new thread.

I say Jesus is called God’s Son because at his baptism, Jesus received God’s spirit, God said Jesus was His son, and he was **led **into wilderness to be tempted. As we can all be children of God, which agrees perfectly with this:

Romans 8:14-16 For as many as are **led **by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

But Christianity says it’s just a mystery, you don’t really know how Jesus is God’s Son or how he can exist eternally as God if he was begotten at some point by God, after God already existed.

So which teaching clears things up, and which causes confusion?

But then we can all be one together so does that make us all Gods? Or does it just make Jesus and all us humans children of God who seek the one will of God?

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Ok then, explain the miracles, healings, teachings etc etc etc that Jesus passed onto mankind then.
When Jesus died on the cross, he saved us, i dont think any mere mortal dying on the cross could save us, do you?

No, we can’t be gods because our nature is not divine. Our nature is human.

Jesus’ nature was both human and divine.

All the prophets did miracles by the power of God, look at all Moses did. Or Elijah. That didn’t mean they were Gods.
When Jesus died on the cross, he saved us, i dont think any mere mortal dying on the cross could save us, do you?
Sure, God put Jesus in the position of High Priest who makes atonement for our sins so we can be forgiven, he brings our prayers to God for us. Just like Moses was a mere mortal who delivered Israel from the sin of Egypt. But they both did it by the power of God, not because they are Gods.

Jesus won that position because he was just a human who resisted sin more than any other man.

Well you say so, but you don’t know how he can be God’s Son who eternally existed as God but yet was begotten by God after God already existed. Then we are stuck in an endless loop of confusion.

Unless you see it the way I see it.

Then you are saying God created Himself, which then voids the possibility of Trinity existing eternally. So that doesn’t really work either.

Im not saying that at all, your missing the point im making.
You said “the point im trying to get across is what God has created between himself, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is like a family unit, there is 3 person within the one family unit, its probably the best way to explain it to people that dont understand…”

If the family unit God created was Trinity, then Trinity is God’s creation, but not God.
