(Romans 6,5)For, if by a death similar to Christ’s [our “death” in baptism] we have become one with Christ, we shall also be one with Him in a similar resurrection.
Baptism does not wash away sin. Your sins are washed away by the blood that Christ shed for us. Baptism is a symbol of us dying to our old self and coming up new through Christ. I would be more than happy to share some scripture with you.I would just like to know on what people think of Baptism i have read it in many bible readings. Baptism is an instrument used to wash away our sins but it does get its power from the Blood of Christ. The water as of itself has no power.Baptism does not wash away sin.
