Importance of Humour and Father James Martin

I agree that a sense of humour is important but I don’t find everything this guy says is funny. We need our sense of humour most when we are serious. To keep ourselves in check.
My concern here is that Father is becoming like a stand-up comedian and is obliged to be funny all the time.
Actually I prefer some of his serious videos more.
 
I noticed that Ignatius Press and other Catholic publishers no longer carry his books…

I tried to ask Fr Martin about the content of one of his books but he nor anyone who had read the book would respond directly to my question…

I pray for your own discernment of God well.
