Important rule change for Indulgences

I hope this is not a stupid question. One of the requirements is that we pray for the intentions of the Pope but as I do that every day does that suffice or do I have to do some additional prayers for the Pope’s intentions to fulfill the requirement.

Not a stupid question. I am of the opinion that your daily prayers for the Pope may count towards a plenary indulgence, one set of prayers per indulgence.

I think that it would count, but an extra Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be can’t hurt! 👍
 
It’s so nice to see discussion of indulgences! 🙂 I feel it is such an overlooked gift of our Lord and Church! It’s a wonderful and humbling way to participate in and cooperate with God’s grace and mercy!

If I am ever tempted to forego Confession (I go at least once a month), I just think about how wonderful it is to obtain plenary indulgences! I like to ask for them to be applied to the souls in Purgatory who have no one on Earth to remember or pray for them.
