Impossible to find the true church

When was the last time you heard the LDS church referred to as the Whore of Babylon (a term commonly used by Protestants to describe the Catholic Church)?

There are certainly some virulently anti-Catholic Protestant elements that would use that term, but I strongly object to the notion that such an opinion of the Catholic Church is “common” among Protestants. I’ve never encountered that interpretation with an contemporary person or denomination I’ve met, and I think it’s no more an accurate characterization than the idea that Catholics commonly think of Protestants as godless heretics.

I need scriptures, because both Orthodox and Catholic are apostolic in origen…the only tie breaker that can be trusted is the bible.
