That cannot be true, and here is why…I choose Heaven. if what you say is true, then it follows that I am going to Heaven (because we choose and I’ve just chosen). But if that is true then I can know right now that I am going to Heaven. And then I could claim “I know I’m going to Heaven”. But that is presumption and presumption is a sin. So I cannot make that claim. So we reach a contradiction. which means the assumption we started with is false, since no one can deduce a contradiction from a true proposition. Thus, it cannot be true that we “choose” Heaven or Hell.
We choose every moment of every day, by our actions - we either accept or reject God over and over and over and over.

Please, find a spiritual director.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am still not sure what to make of them. But I am going to confession this afternoon and I intend to raise these issues with my confessor if I he allows me to. Then, hopefully, I can trust in his advice. Although I read here on CAF that many priests are giving bad or unorthodox counsel which apparently can also threaten one’s salvation. Argh…

I hope your confession went well. Of course, it did.

I tend to focus on the positive. I assume, if I tried my best, that the confession was valid.

If a Priest gives me counsel, and it’s wrong, it’s on* him*, not me. Yes, we need to discern if we are getting good advice. But as Catholics we can’t be paralyzed into inaction by the* fear* of doing something wrong.

Once again, I hope you experienced Christ’s love and reconciliation today.

How will the resurrection undo the injustice of having to live and die alone and unloved by other humans? There is no marriage in Heaven (as St. Paul teaches us). There is presumably no sex. So there is no human intimacy/contact. But there is ongoing awareness of our life spent being hated by everyone ion the world?

I realize that the Resurrected will be with Christ. But of course it would be the sin presumption to think i will be one of them. In facts, odds are, even if I am a loyal and devoted Church goer, I won’t be one of them. (As others here are fond to point out “narrow is the way and few there are who find it”).

So odds are, this is the only life I will get. I will be utterly alone throughout it, then I will die and never live again. And that will all have been God’s will.
OK, I was on the other thread. Now you are saying you won’t even be in heaven. What I saw in the other thread is that people showed you that they care. I even PM’d you (with no response but that’s OK as I didn’t expect it). So you keep saying people don’t care, yet you know this is a lie. So now you are obese, ugly, “previously” into porn, impotent, infertile, and will never make it to heaven.

You have been told there are treatments for impotence. You have been told over and over and over that you are not ugly, that you are loved, that people care…

This has taken over your life. This has gone far enough. When feelings such as you have interfere in your life to the extent that these obviously have, it is time to see a counselor.

Good luck.

Now I’m sure you will just say that I’m one of the “everyone” who believe you’re ugly (when I’ve never even seen a photo of you) and that I don’t care, when I poured my heart out to you in the previous thread and didn’t even receive a reply.

So go ahead. I will pray for you but you don’t want my caring, you don’t want my help, you don’t want my advice, and you don’t want me.
