If this was possible (just like the confession app for the iPhone), what would be the criteria?

It would need to be submitted to the diocesan Censor Librorum from the diocese the developer belongs to or the diocese where the game’s publisher is located. He would review it for doctrinal fidelity.

Personally, I would be surprised if a Censor Librorum would agree to take on a video game, but one never knows. I suppose it doesn’t hurt to ask.
