What should a guy who had a struggle with impurity in the Internet (myspace, chatrooms, images, etc.) do now that he is dating?
The risk is not that they would do stuff together, but that he would be unfaithful to her (and to God), and that would start ruining the relationship (plus the fact that there IS a risk that this may cause him to want to do stuff with her).

And also, should he tell her about his struggle? Or would that be too risky too?

Since this is sensitive matter, I’d rather talk about it privately.
Thanks.

God bless, pax Christi,
Juan J.

Well, he should work to get rid of this “addiction” He should also keep healthy boundaries with the lady, e.g no touching, doing things that only married people should. He should also go to confession ASAP after he have done something that is a serious sin.

In my opinion, sites like myspace are a constant near occasion of sin, but I am extremely biased due to my own experience with that site. I recommend staying away from such sites. There appears to be very little content filtering on them, and the advertising is often worse than the user sites content. I am sure there are very pious users on myspace, but it certainly is not the norm. If you have a tendency to fall into impurity, a good start at ridding yourself of the addiction would be to run from myspace!

ok, thnx.

And ok, is there anyway I can delete this thread? at least close it?

God bless

Yes, with frequent confession, the Eucharist and prayer this thread will close itself…God Bless…teachccd

Hehe, indeed it will.
But is there a quicker way, for the thread, I mean?
🙂

Though I wish there was also a quicker way for the addiction to completely go away.

I’m not a big fan of MySpace but I think it can be use to preach the Gospel. I know a priest, name Fr. Fox who has a member there.

I have noticed some people on mySpace have posted nearly half-naked pics. Even men expose and show off their muscles, which is intended at women and even maybe homosexuals…
