**Does this verse show Paul using the “Authority” to forgive sins, which was given to the apostles in John 20: 21-23
**
I am currently having a discussion with a fellow non-catholic Christian and he cannot really talk his way out of the apostles being given the Authority to forgive sins, I need more to convince him that this is what happened and an example. Looking at apologetic material I saw this verse above once, and I don’t see it in many other and I want to know why?

**Paul to the Corinthians
KJV 2 cor 2:10**
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
