Hi everyone,

I was going to stay away for a while because the way I am feeling but I just keep feeling worse.

Yesterday I was reading some of the threads and one of them realy hit me hard, I was so upset, I was crying and so angry I was shaking. I have been trying to figure out why this effected me this way. Why I still feel bad. Its not like I am an angel or anything.

Then today I had to make the decision to homeschool my kids because of the rampant racism going on at school but I am afraid of not being up to the challenge. Now I just feel drained. I am not one to fall into depression over others actions so I am puzzled over why I feel this way. I am usualy up to a challenge so why this fear all of a sudden? Am I under attack or something?

You may be feeling overwhelmed right now. Take a rest. And if that doesn’t help, see your doctor sooner rather than later.

I had three children, close in ages, and I know how tired one can get as the dear souls need so much ongoing care and attention, and they have their little disagreements requiring a referee and guide…and so on. Please know you’re not alone.
If there are other pressures and stressors…you mention racism…well where our children are concerned we feel things so intensely, so naturally you are distressed and tired with it.

In my prayers,

Love, Trishie

I pulled my kids out of PS (public school) and it has been the most scariest thing I’ve ever done. I had worries about people knocking on my door, questioning my kids, taking them way. I felt as if all the sudden I was under this HUGE microscope and everything little things I did or did not do would be looked at, criticize, and examined.

They died down and everything is okay, but over the summer they came back and spiked again because we were in and out of doctor offices for my son’s medical care. I was scared going to each new doctor, because I didn’t know them and I didn’t know how they would view homeschooling. I was worried that one office visit would send people knocking on my door.

I don’t know what’s the root of your worries? Is your husband supportive? Is you extend family supportive? etc. I’m still a new homeschooler, my kids were pulled out June 2008. (That’s just 15 months ago.) I’m still learning, still figuring out what works for us. Some days are like gold, others make me wish that I never got out of bed. However, over all I’m glad that I made the choice to homeschool. This is a personal choice and you have to do what you feel you must and every once in a while to examined to make sure your still no track and that these choices are still the right choices.

Stepping away from web-forums or any other internet social site may not be a bad thing right now. Especially if you are taking on the education of your children.
