Do you know any patron saints for people who are lonely, isolated and friendless. Thank you very much.

The Patron Saint of Lonliness

St. Rita was a woman from the Middle Ages who became a nun after her husband was murdered. She is considered the patron saint of abused women, loneliness, spousal abuse, sterility, bad marriages, and widows. It is probably because of her association with widows and abuse that she assumed the patronage of all lonely people.

St. Teresa of Calcutta felt alone and distant from God for years at a time.

Even amid a bustling, busy ministry. She felt alone and overlooked.

I pray that she will assist you from heaven.

God is close to the broken-hearted (Psalm 34:18),

My patron Saint is Eugene de Mazenod, because he is the patron of dysfunctional families. St. Jude and St. Rita are patrons of impossible causes. You may want to ask for their intercession (I see someone already mention St. Rita). God bless, you have my prayers!

I can’t remember the whole sentence, after all I read the book 6 or 7 years ago, but Don Bosco says that those who are friendless due to religion have Jesus, Mary and their Guardian Angel as best friends.

I like Athenasius, who pretty much stood alone against the heresy of the Arians and was exiled 5 or 6 times in his defense of orthodoxy.
