Things just keep getting more bizarre.
There is almost nothing in the Apocolyptic/opportunistic world of “The Rapture” that surprises me. Case in point:

If millions of Christians suddenly disappear from the face of the earth as the opening act for Armegeddon, Threat Level thinks most non-believers will be too busy…to check their e-mail. But if they do log in, now they can be treated to some post-Rapture needling from their missing friends and loved ones, courtesy of web startup
youvebeenleftbehind.com.
For just $40 dollars a year, believers can arrange for up to 62 people to get a final message exactly 6 days after the Rapture, that day when-------according to ones who actually believe this, Christians will be swept up to heaven, while doubters are left behind to suffer seven years of Tribulation under a global government headed by the Anti-Christ.
“You’ve been left behind gives you one last opportunity to reach your lost family and friends for Christ”, reads the website, which is purportedly run “by Christians for Christians”. The domain name is registered through an anonymous proxy service, presumably to protect the proprietors from the Forces of Darkness, and not because they’re up to anything shady…
It would of been nice if the author, Kevin Paulsen, had noted that belief in the Rapture is notthe majority view of the “end times” among Christians, even if unfortunately, it gamers so much attention. After all, that particular form of “Christian end times”
**didn’t even exist 200 years ago **
But what it lacks in theological consistency and historical roots, it makes up for a heady mixture of fear mongering, staccato-styled Scripture slinging, selective headline ripping, and savvy marketing (Left behind books anyone?)
The site recommends that you use some sort of storage to house sensitive financial information.

In other words, even if you aren’t Raptured, you’re money likely will be…

Does anyone **really actually **believe in this so called Rapture?

You mean they believe the Rapture is coming and that there will be unimaginable chaos and destruction all over the world but they will make people wait a week to see what’s going on? I don’t get it.

And just WHO will be sedning out this 6-days-past-the-pre-trib-raputre message, anyway?

LOL. This is of course assuming that the Anti-Christ allows e-mail access…

Does anyone here (non-Catholic Christians) really believe in this ‘so-called’ Rapture?

Come on people, this is serious. I understand that there are many Protestant people who believe in this.

Thats genius!

$40 a month, for a service based on an event that isn’t ever going to happen. I’d be surprised if they really did believe in the rapture.

To the OP, yes there are a number of Christians who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture.

To the rest of us who are goggling at the marketing savvy of this website, read this part from their website:
*We have set up a system to send documents by the email, to the addresses you provide, 6 days after the “Rapture” of the Church. This occurs when 3 of our 5 team members scattered around the U.S fail to log in over a 3 day period. Another 3 days are given to fail safe any false triggering of the system.*Can you imagine, if just by some coincidence, let’s say 3 of the 5 of them don’t log in for 6 days because they forgot? Or if they were like, “I thought you were logging in this week…no, I thought YOU were!!” Then, boom. The message goes out telling loved ones “Hey, you’ve been left behind and your buddy is outta here!” 😃

I am also amazed at the certainty of these 5 people that they are sure at least 3 of them will get raptured. 😃

What’s the saying…there’s a sucker born every minute.
Maybe they should take that $40 and put some gas in their tank. At least that will get them somewhere…albeit, not far nowadays.:dts:

In the case of Rapture… don’t they believe that there will be worldwide chaos? If so, how do they know that the internet will still be up and running? I mean really… alot of folks thought the rapture would be in the year 2000 and all computers, utilities, electricity and banks would shut down right?

What’s even funnier, if they believe in the “rapture”, didn’t they share that info in advance with everyone they knew, and wouldn’t they think that the other people would be able to figure out where they were without an email telling them?🤷
