Did I speak of grace as something which merely produces a feeling?

No, grace is something that transforms you into the image of Christ.

When we encounter The Holy Spirit it results in dramatic change.

It is impossible to experience God without transformation.
Of course, but the way you presented it made it looks like some feeling. The Eucharist, above all things, has transformed me. It is the great sacrament God has given us because unlike all other sacraments, we actually get to be with Jesus up close and in person. We get to be united in such a profound way. The very body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ dwelling within us… The Eucharist is a gift. Sadly, many Evangelicals have forgotten this, looking to the modern age for answers rather than to Christ.

I’ve considered it
You could also join the Eastern Catholics. Their theology concerning the Immaculate Conception is the same as the Eastern Orthodox. Though they do accept Papal supremacy and are in full communion with Rome.

Sacraments assure us that God’s divinity is correct. Sacramentals assure us that His existence is correct.
