In heated debate with pro-choicers

Hi guys, I am in a heated debate with pro-choicers.

can you provide me with proof that abortion is WRONG?

Scientific proof would be great and a good few qoutes from doctors.

You are putting the cart before the horse. I would think before getting into a “heated debate” with abortion proponents, you would have read a broad range of materials and formulated your own responses to pro-abortion assertions.

If you cannot articulate why abortion is wrong, then do some study before going back to any debating. Don’t ask others to do the research and produce answers for you. You have to do the heavy lifting yourself.

An excellent resource is Randy Alcorn’s book Pro-Life Answers to Pro-Choice Arguments. There are numerous websites with good inforation as well, from Stand Up Girl to American Life League, and many in between. There are several pro-life atheist websites (google pro-life atheist). Feminists for Life has an excellent website. Priests for Life does too. www.omsoul.com has lots of literature.

And, also, know with whom you are debating. What types of evidence will they accept regarding the “wrongness” of abortion? Will they accept religious authority? Biological facts? Secular sources? What? The way in which you reason with an atheist may be very different from the way in which you reason with a Christian, or a Jew, etc.
 
What is the background of the people you are debating?

I suppose its not that I cant handle it, just that I need a little bit of back up for what I say.

Your right though, never to get involved in a debate I know little or nothing about.
but what I do know I have stated so far in the debate and it seems to be working. 👍 I dont really think there is much to know when showing abortion is evil, its already evident to everyone that it is, so I cant see this debate lasting long.

its in the lords favour so far, but I still want some sites with plenty of backup and have it ready for any other replies I may receive.
I am dealing with atheist/agnostics in a secular forum.

The person in opposition so far is Female, and a non-believer.

And be not afraid. I resist the notion that to defend life in debate or argument you need a BS. The argument for life is completely rational, available to any honest intellect while the argument for abortion is irrational and illogical.
