The law firm I’ve been working for for the last two months, for free, says it doesn’t have an opening for me. Ironically, on that very day I had to finish an hour late because I was so needed and just before I left I was instructing a student intern on how to do something. But no, they don’t have an opening. Haven’t received any other offer throughout all this time as well. All in all, I do wonder since I’m theoretically one of the best educated law graduates in the country, but practically I can’t get a job and I don’t mean a great job, just a job. If you wouldn’t mind a prayer or two in my favour. I’ll pray “back” for all those who do. Hope you’re getting more luck with your jobs. 😉

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

Chev, I was in a similar situation once, working full-time but under the job classification of a temp, and unable to fix it until someone quit. I know how frustrating that is! Hang in there. God has something planned for you, and I pray that you will find it soon.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St. Cajetan, please pray for our brother Chevalier.

I wil pray for you that God will light your path and help you find a good job. Do not despair and become sad. I find that sometimes God removes us to place us in another place for our own good for the good of others. Maybe just maybe your knowledge of law is needed by someone and you may be that person that may be helpful to them. I will pray for you to find a job. May our Lord bless you and do not lose hope. God loves you.

Praying for you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Chevalier:

I’m praying for you. Have patience another door will open for you.

Prayefully,

Renato

Thank you very much. 🙂

The same law firm phoned me, saying my recommendation was signed and one of the partners wanted to talk to me. We agreed I’d be interested in taking up a job there, but after two months of a payless internship, now his idea was another two months of full time work payable with next to no money (basically less than students earn handing out leaflets and 1/10 of what students earn tutoring other students) under a bogus title (wrong type of contract used on purpose and in order to avoid taxes and insurance). After two months that could tentatively be upgraded to a modest salary, but again, using a bogus title for most of the pay (1/4 of it would go under the correct title and the rest under the wrong one, cutting employment costs and offering more net pay, but at the cost of insurance, so ultimately harming me in the long term). I’m not going to sign false contracts. Means I’m going to be jobless and seeking. 😦 I could easily earn some nice money tutoring English or Latin, but I’d have to register a business for that and business costs would eat up all gain, while I don’t want to do it in the black. All in all, I’m at a loss as what to do, but I’m just going to apply everywhere I can. You wouldn’t believe, but no one wants a law graduate with an A on the Master’s diploma and a PhD underway with specialisation in criminal procedure (partly because attorneys in this country are generally interested in business law and avoiding criminal defence as best they can, few excepted, like my academic patron). All in all, I’m just hoping, but it’s simply depressing.

Will be keeping you in prayer with St. Joseph The Worker that fulfilling and financially rewarding employment will come your way in your field of law…
Our Lady of Mercy pray for him
Heart of Jesus we trust you

Thank you for your prayers. 🙂

Just to let you know I’ve got work with a reputable law firm for a very good pay. Glory be to God! 🙂 My step-father says it’s more luck than brain. God’s grace is more than just luck, but yes, this is given, not deserved, and I’m thankful for all the prayers which led to it. It’s hard to describe how happy I am. I’m starting on Monday.

Praise be to God. i’m glad you found the job you were hoping for. you see God did not abandoned you. I feel he was looking for what was right for you and sometimes that takes some time. But, Thank God he found the job…:amen:

Praise God and thank you, Mother Mary! I am so happy for you, chevalier…congratulations! Tell your step-father that luck has nothing to do with it! When we ask the Lord for something with trust, He gives us what we need. Praying that you will transition smoothly into your new position.

Hey good for you. God did not let you down - as He never does. He just made you exercise patience and trust.
Great.
