First one must repent, be baptized and come into the One Church Jesus found, the CC. This is pleasing to our Lord. The rest will follow. Rebellious towards the One Church is rebellion towards God Himself and nothing we do is pleasing to God.

That would be all fine and good if I believed it. But I doubt that God is a God who will be displeased with a person that believes in him, does his work, helps others, but is not a part of the CC. I don’t see God being displeased by someone not being a Catholic. See Jesus came and started a church of believers. ALL who believe in me will not parish but have eternal life. It don’t say ALL who are Catholic will not perish but have eternal life.

You see mr. Kevin it does matter to me who teaches the Truth about God. As God chosen one nation through which He revealed Himself through the ages, so it is with the Church. He built One Church so as to avoid confusion regarding His teachings. Our Father who art in Heaven… As you can see here our Lord teaches us to pray. It is not an individual thing but it is His people. those who accept the Church are called His people. One Church who was given the authority to teach all men about Him. The Word of God is not a guessing game. Then after you accept the teachings of the successors of the Apostles, then you will know for sure what to say to Jesus. I dont think Jesus is going to ask anyone anything. It will be just like He said. He will separate the goat from the sheep. Another thing He said that it is important to notice: He said, there will come a day in which the doors will be closed Just like Noah’s Ark and noone will be able to enter.

Exactly what I said. It is important to me who speaks the Truth about God and who God gave authority to speak for Him. I am not talk about those who uses the Bible to get authority. I am talking about those whom God directly gave authority before He left and that authority is passed on through His Church. That is the Church that everyone must entered.

That is what you think. But the Truth is that the Church is not something imaginary, she is real and she is here with authority to speak to the world and to fight heresies and to defend the Truth. You and the Bible alone cannot do this. The world knows that the CC is the one when so many cant see. When the Pope speaks the world hears. I belong to that One Church, you know that One with all the Saints, Prophets, the Mother of God our Mother, the Queen of Heaven, with the one who sits in the Chair of St Peter. The Church St Augustine spoke of when he said, “when our enemies get together, they will say, those Catholics over there.” That I hear all the time. St Augustine is right to this day. that is what I am talking about.

The Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Bullwark of the Truth. You see here, it doesnt say that the Church is the Truth. Jesus is the Truth.

I would have to say anything that is acceptable to you my Lord. Because I know without your Grace I could do no good. But any good that is done is done in your name, because you are the center of all good in all of us. It is by the grace that is given, and used that all good things come.

And then I would probally say I wish I could have accepted your grace earlier in my life, and more in my life then I have, and I pray that you will have great mercy on me.😊

For a Catholic all things done begin "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit Amen.

Nothing. Of my self, things that I did that could be called good were always done with an eye to self-interest. This cannot change as it is part of our nature. What I have done that is good is of God and I am no more responsible for it than a grapevine that has good fruit. All I can do is be grateful that God has chosen to work through me. The times I have felt a biggest fraud is when I was praised for missionary work. It was then that I was most aware that it was God that was doing the good. God seldom holds the mirror up for us to see ourselves truly, and then He leaves it up to us to open our eyes. Thanks be to God for that.;

That is a good point, But here is the problem, Jesus picked 12 Apostles, who were to continue to lead his Church until the end of time, He promised them that the Holy SPirit would lead this Church, that is and still is led by these Apostles.

But here is where the problem comes in, the Apostles continue to lead the Church as Christ promised, and still continue to reveal to us the Truth that are given to them as Promised by Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

But while Christ kept his Promise to us, many have left this Church. CHrist never left the Church, he kept his promise!! Our Father is a Father who Keeps his promiises.

But what about the people who walked away from Christ? Now how can all Christians be part of the CC if they refuse to accept its teachings? Did Jesus not say you are either hot or cold.

Is hot not mean to accept all of this teaching, and cold mean the same as being lukewarm?

Think about this my friend, where did Jesus say you can decide on what you want to believe and what you don"t want to believe.

Why did he choose Apostles to lead his Church, are these Apostles not to be of the Same mind as Christ? IF this is true, why is the CC the Only Church that has one teaching?

I seek to be His light, His lamp, His salt. To reflect His glory to all I meet. To seek His face in all I meet. This is difficult. The poor are easy to help and love. It’s the haughty and self-satisfied that I find difficult to witness to. I find it hard to be kind and pray for those who hurt me. It’s a daily challenge, but with God’s grace, it is possible.

I do good works in His Name, for His glory, not mine.

Too often I fall short. I thank God for the Sacrament of Confession which reconciles me to Him. I thank God for the Eucharist to strengthen me and fill me with his grace.

I pray that everything I do, I do in His Name.

Rev Kevin, what have YOU done in God’s name, you seem to want to know what everyone else is doing,even quoting scripture to I guess use as a guide, but I never seen you post as to what you have done. I guess if you are asking to make us stop and think, “What have I done?” Then this Lenten season is a great time for us to bring charity to the forefront of our conscience. As for myself, when I donate gently used clothing to our local "church " store, or usable household items, When I sign my grocery receipt for the amount which I have spent to be donated to the local food pantry, and see they have won:), when I read the Bible instead of another book I am currently interested in, when I stop to treat someone charitably who is “trying” to me. I do all this in God’s name because I believe that is what he would ask of me. We live paycheck to paycheck much like everyone else, but it makes me feel good to know that even if something small that I have done may actually make a difference to someone, that is what it is all about.😉

Hi Rev Kevin-

You are getting a lot of unspecific answers here. We Catholics are taught not to “Brag” about our works in God’s name. When asked a question such as yours, we tend to respond with what God asks us to do. Due to our fallen natures, we often fall short of the ideal. We never-the-less keep striving.

I volunteer in a Catholic shelter for homeless moms and children. It’s not something I like to trumpet because I don’t do it for me, I do it in God’s name.

I sing in choir, it’s not about me and my voice, it’s about praising God.

So, in everything I say and do, I try to follow God’s Command: “Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.”
