In need of Godparent gift ideas

I’m looking for suggestions on Godparent gifts. Our daughter’s name is Clare and I thought maybe something St. Clare related would be a good idea. The Godfather is new to the faith, and the Godmother is a long established Catholic and Catholic school teacher. My wife and I can’t decide what would be a good and meaningful gift.

So are these gift ideas to pass on to your daughters godparents to be something they could get for her?

I think something related to the saint the child is named after is a great idea. I always liked apostolic blessings, too (i.e. a papal blessing). I give them to my godchildren for their First Communion, though.

For the godmother, how about a children’s set (or a few books from a series) on the lives of the saints for her classroom?

For the godfather, he might enjoy the Hahn’s book “Rome Sweet Home”.

There’s always the option of making a donation to the Church or their favourite charity in their names.
 
Have the baby’s photograph put on an attractive Christmas tree ornament. Shutterfly does this really well. Walgreens can do it cheaper, though I don’t think the quality is as nice. You could also have someone with a nice camera take a photo of the baby with his godparents at the Baptism and use that photo and give it as a Christmas present.
