In need of help

As many know I have been interested in Islam.
I dont want to go that way. It is not true but I sometimes get doubts in my head that Christianity is wrong. I feel islam is even more “wrong”. PLEASE what can I do or read to help put all this in better perspective.

All religions get it wrong as far as I can tell.

Help comes from the Lord to those who want it.
My suggestion is to first thoroughly study the religion you were born into. ( If it is Catholicism, get the Catechism of the Catholic Church to begin your study. Whether you are Catholic or a part of some other Christian denomination read from the bible everyday, and if possible pray and meditate on what you read.)

Do this before you look into any other religion. Once you know exactly what your religion teaches, then you have a base to compare it with other religions.

what makes you interested in Islam in the first place? and why are yopu intreested in it as long as you see it is even more wrong than christianity?

Irene, if you feel that Islam is “more wrong,” then stick to Christianity!

Irene, at least don’t become Islamic.

Islam is NOT an improvement on Catholicism. It is not possible to improve on Catholicism.

The Trinity and Incarnation infinitely exceed the God of Islam.

The Trinity cannot be understood in your mind, only in your heart. The Trinity transcends reason.

Ask yourself which is more beautiful?

A God who is One in Person Only and who has not become a human to suffer in solidarity with man or a God who has an Infinite Family of Love within His One Nature. The Father is Infinte Love and from all Eternity, He so desires to give Himself away that He BEGETS an Image of Himself that is fully Divine, the Son. The Father and Son then give total, Infinite, Reckless Love and Knowledge to One Another, and this love is so Immesaurable that it gives birth to ANOTHER Divine Person, the Holy Spirit.

This very central mystery of the Christian faith was made by God to be imaged in our sexuality. From Adam proceeded Eve, and their totally reckless, self-giving and receiving love becomes another person, a child.

Therefore, no one can understand human sexuality better than a knowledgeable Catholic.

And also, from all eternity, God’s Love was so profound that He wanted to have mercy and suffer for His creatures. From all eternity, He conceived of the Incarnation and Passion of the Savior.

Therefore, Islam’s God is LESS Loving, in both respects, than the God of Catholicism.

Don’t let sins of Christians get in the way. Christains have sometimes committed worse sins than the ones by Islamics. Judge the religions by their holier members, not the sinners.

I suggest go to a place of solitude (your favourite beach spot, lakeside, park, etc) and bring the two respective scriptures along with you. Read and compare them; literally nit-picking the two and note what you do not like about each respective religious teachings, doctrines and dogma. Write down and compare the differences of each religion; eg; How the Muslims view Jesus and Mary and how Christians view Jesus and Mary. Do Catholics (Christians) worship or venerate Mary? Is the Ka’ba idol worshipping? Can you tolerate your husband having 4 wives? Which religion is closer to scientific and archealogical findings? Once you have sorted out the differences, you can then start with the similarities of each religion. This would be good assuming you already have strong knowledge in the religion you were born into, married into, etc.

Choosing the “right” religion is not easy. But i think even you know the narrower path is holier. Ultimately, it is your choice and i’m sure God will guide you along the journey.

Satan has no charity. Love of which we speak is Divine Love, which Islam does not fully have, for it rejects the Divine Love that is Trinity. Satan has no objective charity. Deception, but not charity.

Love seeks the good of the other, so much as to suffer for it, so that it can give and receive truth and self, donation. The wickedness of the whore and dragon know nothing of this. The whore and the dragon only seek to TAKE and GRASP SELFISHLY.
