In Need of prayers Again

My wound has opened up AGAIN!!! :crying: It opened in January 2010, 90 days after surgery due to a rare infection. It finally healed in April.

Then today, I noticed blood all over my clothes so I went to check & saw that the healed wound opened up again w/blood draining out!! I am so upset b/c DH & I are planning to go away next week for a short vacation. I don’t want to go back into the hospital. I want to be treated in the surgeon’s office & given an antibiotic. I am tired of looking at sterile walls & being an (name removed by moderator)t. for the past 10 yrs. It gets old after a while. YKWIM???

:nope::nope: I don’t know why this is happening to me again as I’ve felt great & am eating healthy. My crohn’s is in remission, PLUS I am back to volunteering again.

Please pray for me that the surgeon can assist in getting this to heal & DH & I can go on our vacation. We really need it after a stressful 10 yrs. (it’s been mainly me in the hospital & him doing all of the chores…I feel bad for him. He needs this break more than anything.) 🙂

Just a brief update-- my wonderful surgeon referred me to another wonderful MD who specializes in hard to heal wounds. I’m going in for electrical stimulation (aka shock therapy to me lol) that stimulates cell growth from the inside out to help heal the wound.

Please pray that is works and that it won’t hurt when the therapist charges the sore.

Other than that, I feel great. Was able to go on a much needed vacation w/DH and was able to volunteer at the Crohn’s & Colitis walk this past Sat. after a 5 yr. hiatus due to surgeries and a stroke I had 5 yrs. ago. It felt good to give back to others. 😃

Brief update–I’m going back for therapy on my wound that still hasn’t healed.

Please pray that the 3rd time is the charm and that my wound will heal from the inside out.

I’m having electrical stimulation therapy done again to see if it will work. I had to cut the last session short as I had a partial bowel obstruction and was in the hospital for a week.

Also, I need prayers for a CT scan that I have to have done. Something abnormal was found on my lungs that needs to be checked out. Pray that it’s nothing serious.

I would also like to thank the Lord for the sense of humor He instilled in me. Without it, I never would have survived the roommate from Hades I had while in the hospital. Thank you Jesus!! 😃
 
It is great that you have a good sense of humor. It sounds like things have been very tough for you! I will pray that God lightens your load, and gives you humor and especially strength to bear whatever cross He wants you to bear.
