In need of prayers for crohn's flare

I was back in the hospital last weekend due to a hormonal flare that caused a complete blockage in my gut. My good friend rushed me on Thurs. to the ER where it was confirmed via an MRI w/contrast.

If it wasn’t for the prayers of family/friends, I would’ve had STAT surgery. Luckily the NG tube blew the narrowing wide open so I could go home Sat. afternoon.

Anyway, I’ve been charting w/NFP & have noticed that as soon as I’m done ovulating my crohn’s flares up and the pain starts. Then the nausea/vomiting occur usually for 1 day for a few hours but this last time, it was really bad. Nobody seems to have an answer for me on how to deal w/ it other than hormone treatment. Since as I have a blood clotting disorder, that is out of the question. Surgery is for emergencies only seeing as I have too much scar tissue.

The surgeon told me that the next time I block, he will have to do major surgery to clean out the scarring and will call in my Gyn to have a look to make sure there are no other female problems.

I am at a loss on how to deal w/this. I can’t tolerate the pain & I feel so alone when I get like that. I am tired of doctors and surgeries. My body is still recovering from last month’s surgery.

Please pray for me that some how the doctors can find an answer that won’t include surgery and that the flare ups won’t be as painful.

Oh, how I know your condition!!! An NG tube is nasty!!! BUT - I am happy it opened up your obstruction. I, too, have had an obstruction. I will be praying that you do not have to have major surgery and that ALL internal organs are functioning. Lord, I beg of you. Please heal Crohnie. Give her peace of mind and respite from her pain. She is your child and you love her dearly. PLEASE, I beg of You, heal your daughter. Amen.

I will be praying for you. I have a chronic illness also. I know how very frustrating it is to have ongoing pain. It can feel overwhelming to be sick. I will remember you in my prayers, not just now but in the future. I pray someday that Drs. will have for ways of helping those who suffer from this illness.
