The nun thing doesn’t sound sincere. Many of us disliked them. After all, they would tell us of the many things that were mortal sin. True story: we had one nun telling us boys it was a mortal sin to keep our hands in our pockets, even if it’s freezing.
 
Is your argument here that he must be lying because he couldn’t possible have liked or been inspired by nuns?
 
We discussed it at our 50th yr reunion and that seemed to be the consensus.
 
He’s just a flagrant and shameless panderer who will say literally anything to get votes.

The image that comes to mind is a guy in a bar, running through his pick up lines to see what works. But with his alcohol consumption he forgets he’s claimed to a Firefighter, a Navy Seal, and a Teacher to the same group of girls…

I haven’t seen Trump change his policies in order to get votes. He still pushes for a secure border, lower taxes, fair as well as free trade, and conservative judges.
 
I’m sorry your experience with nuns as teachers was so bad. I had nuns as teachers in primary school and I remember them fondly.

I’m also a bit shocked to see someone disparaging nuns like this on a catholic forum. To say that someone is lying simply because he says he had a positive experience with nuns is sad and shocking.
 
I think this story came out of the same book as the “Corn Pop” story and the “Marched for Civil Rights” story.

That’s rather refreshing, compared to the double speak we get from politicians in both parties.
 
Do they have many orders of nuns in Britain currently? I don’t remember seeing any when I attended school there.
