Code:"In our times when Marian devotion is quite alive but not always sufficiently enlightened, it would be good to recapture Fr. de Montfort's fervor and his correct tone, in order to give the Virgin her rightful place and to learn how to pray to her." (Bl. Pope John Paul II)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I came across the above quote while exploring a link [HERE](http://blessedmarymotherofgod.com/index.html) These are words from Blessed John Paul II which I had not read before and found them especially appropriate to ponder as we begin this new year of 2014, and prepare also for Sunday's Feast of the Epiphany.
These are "our times"; i.e. God chose to create us in these times for His purpose. Each of us is uniquely created and unrepeatable, therefore each has a specific function within the Body of Christ, His Church. There was no date given so I'm not sure when in his Papacy, Bl. JPII spoke those words. It seems to me that Marian devotion is not as alive as in his time, but still it is not sufficiently enlightened. God's Word calls us to be holy as He is Holy. (Lev.11: 44- 45). He also instructs us to build up His Body in Love, by functioning properly:
Code:...speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love...(Eph. 4: 15 - 16)

May Our Blessed Mother be for us the Star of the New Evangelization "in our times". May we find Jesus, the Truth we need, as the Wise men found him, faithfully seeking Him in their time on their own journey. They found Him with his Mother!
By God's Grace, let us , as Bl. JPII said: "give the Virgin her rightful place and learn how to pray to her". As all the saints have done, may we function properly as Mary and Joseph, bringing Jesus, building up the Body in love "in our times".
