My friend’s daughter has an assignment due Friday and she needs assistance. She has to prepare a report on Saint Annette and is having a difficult time finding information on this Saint. I have never heard of Saint Annette. Can anyone please tell me about Saint Annette and/or share a link of where we can learn more about this Saint. Thank you in advance.

I, too, had difficulty find St. Annette, but I did find a link for you.

biographi.ca/en/bio/saint_amant_annette_15E.html

This website tells briefly about her life, and what she did. I know it isn’t too much information, but it was the only thing I could find. If I find something else, I will definitely post for you! I hope I could help you out! 🙂

I am looking it up but I to nothing. Does this saint exist?

I do not know of a St Annette. In fact when I was little and preparing for Confirmation, we were to pick a St name. I was infatuated with Annette Funnicello from Mickey Mouse Club, as most girls were and thought she would be good to emulate! The Kind Sister broke the disappointing news to me “Sorry, there is not a Saint Annette, pick another”:o

I saw that too, but it is about Annette Saint-Amant. Saint is part of her sur name.
Sister St Gerald, it seems, is still correct 👍

was this saint assigned to her? Talk to the teacher to get a new saint.

Anette and Annette are the French diminutive for Anna, which is Ann or Anne in English. Annette would be Annie.

The saint for whom you’re looking is St. Anne.

Just remember Jeanne and Jeannette, which is Joan and Little Joan. St. Joan of Arc went by Jeannette.

My point, whenever you see “ette” take it off and you’ll see the name in English. It’s just a diminutive in French.

In French this is also done with male names given to women such as Antoine (Anthony) to Antoinette (Antonia).
