If one is in a state of Mortal sin and can NOT receive communion, are there any reasons to go to weekday mass, does it benefit a person in a state of mortal sin?
you betcha… what better place to reflect, seek reconcilliation with God… I would say you have a much better shot at getting out from under the weight of Mortal Sin in the presence of Jesus Christ…
Remember, Church is primarilly for the sinners of the world, if you had no sin, you wouldn’t have much need for church…
We are all sinners, attendance at the Liturgy is wonderful medicine for what ails us. Prayer is good for us, the Divine Liturgy is our most important prayer.
God’s Grace flows like a stream, we need to bend down and take the drink.
