Franze:
None TV comments anything about it, it´s very sad.
I thought Spanish bishops were joining with Canadian bishops at the Synod to ask for a pan-bishop policy for ex-communicating heretical politicians.

I don´t know but mass media are boycotting systematicly

There is very little reporting in the United States too. The only things I have seen are about the beginning and some negative stories.

If it is not bad new, it is no news here.

If the pope wants us to know, we will know, in spite of any media coverage.

Personally, I think we need to pray… not for what is being accomplished at the Synod, but for how much of it will filter through our weaker bishops, to our weaker priests, to our parishes. I would bet that Bishops like Chaput, Carlson, Vasa etc will have much to say and much to pass on (and much to correct).

If France isn’t happy… that may be a good sign.

Yes, but France must save too, all we have to save.

I think there is a concern that there has been too much media coverage.
VATICAN CITY (AP) - The Vatican clamped down Wednesday on information emerging from a meeting of the world’s bishops after some prelates said the release of details of their debates was hindering open discussion of sensitive topics, like priestly celibacy or giving communion to Catholic politicians who support abortion.
The Vatican press office has arranged for daily briefings in five separate languages to give media summaries of the closed-door discussions of the Synod of Bishops, an Oct. 2-23 meeting to give Pope Benedict XVI advice on running the church.
