I am going on record to state, categorically, that I **still believe in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Wholeheartedly. **

My faith is not founded on men, even ‘good’ men. And I believe that the majority of priests and bishops today, and our Holy Father, are good men. But even if it was proven beyond a doubt that they were guilty of wrongdoing,-that would still not change my belief in the Catholic Church.

Christ has promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church. That doesn’t mean that the gates aren’t going to get a buffeting. Satan knows he can’t win but he sure wants to try to drag as many as he can down to hell before the Last Judgment. Don’t let him fool you. Listen to St. Peter’s advice against the devil, “Resist him, solid in your faith.”

Excellent post. We must all maintain our confidence in the Church and above all our faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. He will never abandon us.

Remember during the Arian heresy, 80% of all bishops were dissenting from the church and espoused Arianism. The church also survived the western schism and the reformation.
