In the Bible, does it say that some sins are worse than others and where?

It says somewhere in the Bible that some sins are worse than others…where is that in there? I am Catholic and have two Protestant friends that want me to find it. Thanks
 
Dear M,

Here is it: 1 John 5:16-17. We call the sin unto death “mortal sin.” …Every kind if wrong-doing is sin, but not all sin is deadly.
