In the current Rite of Ordination, are the priest's hands anointed?

Samoht asked this question, and Father Serpa answered “In the Tridentate [sic] Mass, the priest held his index finger and thumb together because they touched the host. But his whole hands were anointed at ordination.”

I am a little confused as to whether this means that a priest’s hands are anointed only in the older form of Ordination, or whether the anointing still happens in the more recent form.

Hi,

The Church would drop something so basic. The priests hands are still anointed at ordination.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
