I am nut sure if your point on conversion is directed toward others or Catholics? If we could “Convert” Catholics to the ills of Contraception then is just a few generations we could CHANGE the US laws… Those that are predisposed to vote Pro Death are killing themselves off. Yasser Arafat actually had a VERY good recommendation for the overtaking of the Jews in Isreal… and that is the womb. If our Catholic brethren would have large families while the rest of the country has small families we would overcome MANY obstacles of change. You make many good points. Just to be clear, I am not against legislation making abortion illegal. I am in favor of it.
However, the only way we can achieve such legislation is through conversion. There must be a sufficient majority to overcome, not just resistance to such laws, but also to overcome court challenges.
Such conversion will also lessen the need for a change in the law since abortions will naturally fall due to a change in peoples convictions.
Again it really is up to Catholic if we want to make this a good country…we can do it through God’s commandment be fruitful and multiply.Without conversions to pro-life attitudes and consequent changes in sexual morals, all abortion legislation will do is increase the number of unwanted children and place a heavier burden child and family services everywhere.
I agree, but I do not think that the answer is necessarily conversion of non Catholics.Do you see what I am driving at? Abortion is horrible, but it is just one component of a larger societal problem. A problem that must be addressed comprehensively and with an eye toward the real goal which should be everyones salvation.
Good point, but even most Catholics today don’t wouldn’t want to do that!Again it really is up to Catholic if we want to make this a good country…we can do it through God’s commandment be fruitful and multiply
If Congress passes a bill and it is signed into law by the President, declaring that a human being is a “person” from the time of conception, then the unborn baby would have all the rights of a “person” under the constitution. It could not be killed except if judged guilty of a capitol crime by a jury of his/her peers.Abortion has to end somehowand I’m thinking of the possibilities in which it might.
A. Either Roe v Wade gets overturned
B. America gets conquered by another nation who will end it
C. America breaks down into separate countries who will in turn end it
D. Jesus comes again, ending it that way
If you come up with any other possibilities, please let me know
Am I the only one with the image of a jury full of foetuses mulling over the facts against the defendant foetus? If Congress passes a bill and it is signed into law by the President, declaring that a human being is a “person” from the time of conception, then the unborn baby would have all the rights of a “person” under the constitution. My use of the term conversion is not necessarily in a religious sense. When I speak of conversion here I am refering to being converted from a pro-choice or pro-abortion stance to a Pro-life stance. Whether that involves a religious conversion or not is another matter.I am nut sure if your point on conversion is directed toward others or Catholics? God Bless You…
The most likely scenario is that states rights will be made legal again. Your option C states that America would separate into different countries, ummm…Abortion has to end somehowand I’m thinking of the possibilities in which it might.

This does look like an interesting and helpful web site, but you must pay for access (subscription).Check out an interesting article on www.culturegauge.com concerning abortion and the media. Its so important to see where your money goes when you donate to charity. The culture/media tries to sugar coat everything and make us believe whatever they say!
check it out, let me know any thoughts!!! awesome website by the way!![]()
There is a difference that must be recognized between Law and action. Even if the Law is changed making abortion illegal, it will not “end abortion” it will only end “legal abortion”. Many babies will be saved by such a change in the law, but it will not “end abortion”. Abortions were performed illegally before Roe v Wade and would be performed illegally after a change in the law.To those saying that only Jesus’ second coming will end abortion, I at least hope you are wrong. For the first time since the passage of Roe v. Wade, more Americans are against abortion than for it. Even by a slim majority, it is interesting. There is still hope for conversion as some people put it
God always sends his prophets first before he steps in himself, he’s doing so now, yet they are being ignored. Trust me in this one, if we keep remaining unrepentant as a race of human beings, he’s going to step down to us and bring his wrath right along with, we have a very, very short time until he does so. Take action while you can, even if it means laying your life down for the cause, do so and mankind will not have to face it, remain luke warm, “ALL OF US”, and expect to face it head on.To those saying that only Jesus’ second coming will end abortion, I at least hope you are wrong. All of what you say above is true, but remember that the title of this thread asks when will abortion end, not when will legal abortion end.If we want legal abortion to end in this country we must vote for the candidate who promises a return to Judeo-Christian morals and laws based on those morals. People have been voting for the candidate who promises them the most benefits. We will see in November if people have had a change of heart and vote pro abortion candidates out of office.
To the person who said that even if abortion was illegal, that there would still be abortions, just that they would be illegal. That was one of the pro abortion arguments before Roe V. Wade. The people wanting legal abortion said that women were having them anyway but if they were legal, they would be done by doctors.
Maybe there were a hundred illegal abortions a year before Roe V. Wade; afterward there were a million a year. Better a hundred illegal murders of children a year in the womb than a million!
It would be great if abortions would be made illegal before Jesus returns but thank God that He has promised to return! In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus said that before He returned that things would get so bad that if He didn’t return, everyone on earth would die! He said this so that we would not get discouraged by current events. We must work for the best but trust God when it looks like we are failing, God will not fail.
Technically, I stand corrected. If the question is limited to when abortion will end, legal or otherwise, then abortion will end when Jesus returns and not before. I had talked about how we and the Holy Spirit could bring about the end to legal abortion because this would greatly reduce the number of abortions and I believe that with sufficient will, legal abortions could be stopped before Jesus return; wouldn’t that be a good thing? All of what you say above is true, but remember that the title of this thread asks when will abortion end, not when will legal abortion end.
Peace
James
I disagree. It is used as a tool when convenient. More often than not it is twisted into something their agenda - which effects social justice little. Unfortunately not only the politicians are doing it, we have plenty of religious who are doing the same thing.I know that Democrats seem to agree with the “social justice” concern of the Church, …
