I know it’s a little late for this thread, but here’s an idea for next year. I think the American Girls dolls would make nice gifts. They portray all races (I think), even though they’re called “American.” I can’t see that there could possibly be anything “wrong” with these. They’re historical, and teach moral lessons (the books). Unless culture seems to be against morality now. I know they have a wide variety of them. I find it a little odd that these politically correct radicals think the least little thing is so “harmful”, yet they don’t bat an eye over the violent video games, movies, etc. They’re so anti-violent, and yet the violence is all we see in this so-called entertainment. If they’re going to be that d*mned fussy about it, just don’t give a gift at all, that’s what I say.
Maybe the original ones (Felicity, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, and Molly) who represented American girls in 1774, 1824, 1864, 1904, and 1944, but not the more modern ones who don’t represent a particular historical period. Once they hit the 1960s, the whole series went downhill and they don’t even make the older dolls anymore. Some friends of mine had given their daughters the dolls about 25 years ago and the girls are glad they hung onto them and the books to pass on.

We haven’t even touched the American Girls since their staunch and unwavering support of planned parenthood. In my opinion that is more violent than anything else.

Have they since curbed their funding of killing girls before they are born?

I don’t know if they’ve stopped. I didn’t even know they were doing it. The Girl Scouts are also for child murder, or so I’ve heard. It might have been on the “Women of Grace” show on EWTN. I’m so sick of it, it disgusts me. I can’t imagine being that callous about it. Planned Parenthood should be for adoption. If not wanting to raise the child is the issue, isn’t giving it up for adoption a much more non-barbaric solution? No. The issue is they don’t want to have to carry the baby. That’s why they say “my body.” What does raising the child after it’s born have to do with your body? And what I really don’t understand is partial birth abortion. For God’s sake, you’ve carried the baby this far. You can’t just finish the term? And killing it a month later, after it’s been born, would be illegal. Go figure. It doesn’t matter where the baby is. Inside the womb, outside of it. It’s obviously murder all the same. Why can’t they understand that, or admit it? How selfish are they? Again, as I said in another post, as a woman, I can certainly sympathize with rape victims. Still, though, it would be wrong. At the most, in such a case, I think a woman would just have to hope for a miscarriage. But giving and ending life is in God’s hands, not ours.

I didn’t realize that. Now I’m glad I didn’t get our girls any AG stuff for Christmas.
