The impression from Scripture alone is that the Incarnation happened in the past. After the death, Resurrection, Ascension and the sending of the Holy Spirit, all there is Scripture until the Second Coming of Christ. The Word of God has become the words of God written to mankind through the inspiration of the first Apostles. How can the Incarnation be as real and present today as yesterday and historically without just reading about it?
