Iāve seen Will & Baumer used in Catholic (and Oriental) churches.
Iāve said this before, but I havenāt bought incense in 40-some years. The one commercial product that I liked was Three Kings āCathedralā blend. (I probably still have a small amount of it somewhere, even after all this time.)
What I use is a personal blend of equal parts pure frankincense & pure myrrh, plus 15% (more or less) of floral attar resin (rose or gardenia or whatever). Great smoke, lovely aroma, and not at all acrid. The percentages can vary to taste. And so can the ingredients: many people like sandalwood, for example.
To crush it, I freeze it and then have at it with a hammer. Iāve never tried this, but I imagine it could also be done in a coffee grinder. (Of course, because of the resins, it would have to be a dedicated grinder.)
