I once saw this done at a non-Catholic wedding. The bride and groom washed each others’ feet. I thought it was really nice.

Yes and they’re actually asking for volunteers among the lay ministry. But I’m not volunteering.

Yes, has been for the last 17 years. Prior to that for some reason they were washing each other’s hands.

For several years we were unable to find 12 people to volunteer. But in recent years, since it was decided to do it licitly and invite only men, we’ve had no problem coming up with the proper number.

This year, with the licit inclusion of women, I’ve noticed that none of the Knights of Columbus has volunteered - so far. That may change when we get closer to the day.
