What kind of Catholic are you, to embrace a perversion of God’s plan for humanity by openly being “gay”?OK first of all it is NOT typical gay male actions! I’m gay and Catholic as is my boyfriend and we would NEVER even think of doing anything remotely disrespectful. NOR would ANY of our other gay friends. Catholic or not.
That was not the action of a typical gay man. It was the actions of people who hate the Catholic Church, who also happen to be gay. BIG difference.
I never heard of any group of gay people desecrating the Eucharist. Link???
NOW you say “In my opinion people who try to incite such actions should be burned at the stake like they were in the old days.”
Well. let me just say this…you are sick!! The Pope didn’t even react and you sit there calling for a mass killing!! How can you sit there and say that people should be MURDERED in a horrific fashion because they kissed someone!!! Is that what Jesus would want!?!? People murdered in His name!?!? How about the Blessed Mother!?!?
WHAT KIND OF CATHOLIC ARE YOU!?!?!?
There is a difference between having a tendency toward attraction to the same sex, or SSA (which is no fault of your own), and giving in to these unnatural attractions even though the Catholic Church condemns them (that is, being “gay”).
You can be the former and still be a good Catholic, but not the latter. Your SSA is a cross, a cross that might seem unfortunate (and it is, to the body), but if you carry it correctly, it can be something beautiful.
Understand that I in NO way share the sentiments of the person whom you (rightfully so) called out. I do not hate gays, but I hate the sin, and I want to help you. If you look at Catholic doctrine, you will find that the Church does not condone “gay” behavior. That doesn’t mean you can’t be a Catholic, just that you need to abandon your sin if you want to be closer to God.
Don’t think I’m being condescending or hateful; I’m not. But one of the Works of Mercy is “admonish the sinner”, and that is what I am doing. Good luck on your search for truth, and may God bless you.
