A supermodel with a bad personality isn’t going to get far beyond a quick “use”…

You sort of just answered your own question of what you should be more concerned with than looks. I imagine many the women you think have it made physically based on typical statistics are getting plenty of “use” and little marriage prospects
I believe my question was why does God make ugly and attractive people hahaha

And yeah I would agree that it’s not like a pretty woman with a s**t personality would easily have a husband, but it’s more like a pretty woman with a wonderful personality is cherished more than an ugly one with a great personality (we also gotta stop acting like most pretty people are terrible people) Which sucks I mean, I can work on my personality but I would still be the last resort

Same thing with men too I believe. Although I feel a lot of woman care about wealth and strength just as much as looks

Cherished? Meh, first off this society has gotten insane with success or attractive bashing. It is near mind boggling…

And I do not suppose all attractive have a bad personality, but that in truth much of those left single into adulthood are so for a reason.

Why is someone born to be Bill Gate’s son and Iam not? Why do I work rather than sit back and collect millions of inherited investments like a Rockefeller?

We all have a purpose, a cross to bare, and a use. Mother Teresa was not exactly gorgeous, yet she is far more cheeished than many gorgeous women you will never hear of.

If you are a good woman, married with a good family, and do good to others, I assure you you will be cherished 😛

I have a different take on this. I don’t wear makeup or dye my hair though I do like to wear a pretty dress every now and again. I don’t think most men care about cosmetics and clothing and hair product. I think they look for a particular degree of confidence and approachability. Many men are interested women who they perceive as straightforward and confident. Some men are looking for a less confident needier woman. A woman’s sense of style does influence the perception but it’s less about her hair and earrings and more about her comportment and her face and speech. A genuine, kind smile will make you far more beautiful than a certain product or dress. I’ve often thought that women who put on trowels of cosmetics are actually trying to impress or be accepted by other females more than a male.
Men like “natural beauty” only when the woman is naturally beautiful:rolleyes:
Do men like highly unattractive women being natural? I don’t think so.Sad but reality.

I’m beginning to get really annoyed at ‘needing’ to dress well + put on makeup in order to go to school or church. I know it’s not a sin, and grooming is fine.

But it is annoying because I want to be like the other girls in my class/etc that maybe put on a lipstick and leave. Even when I wear casual clothes, it has to be “cute casual”.

It’s annoying because I cannot just stop. I don’t have the luxury to not care, if it makes sense. (I’ve said this before many times here, that like it or not, physical beauty is important, even to good men. And I look like a nightmare even after dressing up nicely+makeup, so you can only imagine what I look like without it)

It’s annoying that I find myself annoying-i wish I am not whining to a bunch of strangers online CONSTANTLY.

I felt this way since I was 5 or 6 I believe. And it sucks. I’m not depressed or anything. My mental health is fine. It’s just that I cannot seem to ignore/forget about the cold hard truths.

I know God doesn’t care about this, but it still doesn’t change everything.

I guess my question is:

Why do you think God make some people ugly and some people gorgeous? Physically, not inner beauty. (Don’t give me the “everyone is beautiful/god thinks we are all beautiful” nonsense, that stuff was made up by attractive people to comfort us uglies :p)
OP, you are at an age when this kind of thinking is blessedly normal, something to go through and come out the other side wiser and calmer…

I grew up in the shadow of a brilliant older brother in a north of England society where boys were highly valued and girls were not eg when he got a super new racing model bicycle and I raised the NOT FAIR flag there appeared an old second hand kids model for me, DEFINITELY NOT FAIR but then it was than I was lucky to have a bike at all,

When he was killed in his late teens someone said to me" A son is a son until he finds a wife; a daughter is a daughter all her life"

I saw myself as unattractive etc too. And admired someone in my class greatly who seemed the opposite in every way. Started then going to ballet classes and grooming really mattered and was learned then.

No one is ugly. Not even this 73 year old who frightens herslef silly at an accidental photo… Just is accurate self perception takes a long time…
Would far rather see someone speak as you do than someone was was vain …

I can get ready under 30 mins, it’s not the time, but the amount of money I spend worrying about whether I need to touch up or not, avoiding eye contact with people, avoiding anyone with a camera pointed at me, making up excuses to avoid games (netball, soccer etc with my classmates, worrying about how much I eat, etc etc. Plus makeup is temporary. I don’t plan on waking up extra early to put a little makeup on before my future spouse wakes up you know 😊

I don’t want to be THAT girl, ya feel? I don’t want to be this vain, I don’t want to be that girl whining about it. But it’s not like I have anyone in my life I can whine about life to, so y’all gotta deal with me 🙂
You are NOT VAIN… got it? Get it!

Vain would be saying how wonderful you look all the time… You are growing and changing… stop attacking yourself…get an active hobby with others who are likeminded or one on your own… this too will pass… deep breath and HANG ON>

I’ve never understood people who don’t love dark skin. I think it’s gorgeous, and I will sound a bit braggy here, but my complexion is what you would call a deep golden olive. I’m Indian/ Italian. To be honest, I don’t think fair skin is very pretty. Not the pinkish kind that looks too white. Dark skin is beautiful. I think probably most people do think at least more of a gold olive is prettier than fair pinkish white. I know talking about skin color, though, is very sensitive these days, so I hope I haven’t offended anyone.⭕( Just jumping into the conversation, because it is something I relate to. Black girls (or women) or African American, if that’s what I should say, are lovely.
We see dark skin so rarely in rural Ireland and I love it. When i see it at my market stall I am fascinated and I see all nations there. Each shade a beauty.

Agreed.

Freckles are cute!

I don’t get it when people don’t like certain colours of their skin. There are so many beautiful people of different colours. I’m not white (i have “caramel” skin, i guess) I may be insecure, but the colour of my skin is the last thing I am ashamed about!
My mother had auburn hair and the skin that goes with it. She used to say that if all her freckles joined up she would have a lovely tan…I take on a deep tan easily. Many Irish have that white Celtic skin that never tans or even burns
