Just wanted to share this lovely Eastern Orthodox Catholic rendition of Psalm 135… beautiful Slavic women with beautiful angelic voices singing beautiful words praising Our Beautiful LORD.

The intense pious beauty overwhelms me and I choke up!

Enjoy,

Alleliuah!

You’re welcome @Kathleen18

It has brought tears to my eyes more than once, I just can’t handle how glorious it is.

The blonde woman with the glasses… her voice is angelic.

I closed my eyes while listening to it. (I do that when I want to appreciate some music better.) Anyways, I rather enjoyed it and It definately lifted my soul to God.

Oh my! You must really get a spiritual benefit from it! I am kind of the same way with the songs,
“Christ Be Our Light” and “Child in a Manger.”
Have you ever listened to them?

I’ve watched this for a few years now!

The blonde. Man, she’s got pipes!

I love me some Eastern Christian music… Thanks!

Not that I can recall, I really enjoy listening to Slavic and Byzantine hymns.

Agni Parthene (O Virgin Pure) is one of my favorites

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I needed it today, and I’ll be listening to it routinely. Where was it recorded?

I have no idea.

Possibly in Serbia or Russia from the looks of things.

Eastern harmonies are very soothing Chill bumps as well. We should start a thread of interesting versions of favorite Christmas season hymns.
One of mine is this one, sung in Wendat (Huran, French and English) written by a Saint even!

I have a varied taste in music, but I’ll tell you that Byzantine chanting is good to workout to.

Thank you very much, I can make my guitar sound beautiful.😝

@Spyridon really good, powerful harmonious choir. The choir of angels in heaven can’t be much different - here south slavs with Mediterranean complexion. I hadn’t seen anything like this before, beautiful diversity. Thanks for the share. 😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏

@pianistclare also a first for me…unprecedented in so many ways.
