Do you think incubi or succubi ever really existed or still do? Do demons attack people sexually/physically today? And if so, how on earth would one avoid such an attack?

As far as I can tell, they ‘existed’ to explain away wet dreams.
Interestingly, last I checked the Malleus Maleficarum, a man wasn’t held morally culpable for intercourse with a succubus, but a woman was considered at fault for intercourse with an incubus.

nah, thanks anyway. I can google and look up stuff in wikipedia–I was looking for some real answers, and specifically about sex with demons. I am talking real demonic attacks, not speculation.
I am actually thinking I may need to take a break from this forum since all anyone ever does is argue and side-track threads–after a while it starts to get me down.
but if anyone has anything to contribute–like maybe references to Early Fathers or Catechism—I am still checking on my subs…

Real, there are millions of spirits roaming the world, this succubus you talk of may not be the exact evil, as its a man made term, but there are definitely spirits that feed off the weak while they sleep.
If you are in a state of grace you will disturb them; i.e they will be powerless and you will probably be abruptly awaken as they try to infiltrate your soul.
To prevent:
Take communion
Pray, pray, pray
Have a priest to bless your place of slumber
If You are experiencing this spirit:
Then pray for the deliverance of evil within the room, you know; light a candle, hold a cross, a bit of holy water that kind of scenario… Saint Michael is a good place to start in terms of prayer:

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and the snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host thrust into hell, Satan and all evil spirits that wander the world for the ruin of souls. Amen*
Generally you have to remember that evil has no power over God, so just trust in Jesus and the holy spirit and you will be fine. Hope this was of help.
