I know this is a bit off topic, but the new Manual of Indulgences just came out. This is the English version of the 1999 edition. If you hated the previous Handbook you will love this one. They have restored the traditional forms and translations of the prayers, so you will actually recognize them. Also they have added Eastern prayers. It is a wonderful resource from the USCCB. A great Christmas gift for that fundamentalist in your life. You can’t buy indulgences, but you can buy the book and earn them.
PS: For you cheapskates there is the book Favorite Indulgenced Prayers by Anthony Buono from Catholic Book Publishing. It has only some of the rules and prayers, but could be a nice stocking stuffer for a beginning indulgence hound.
