Hey everybody,
The Catechism says that all sin (especially mortal sin) does two things: (1) it detaches us from God, and (2) it attaches us to “this world.” Does anybody know any Scriptures to reflect on about this?
I thought that maybe it could be brought out of Galatians 5:17 – it says, “the flesh wars against the Spirit,” which seems to suggest that sin attaches us to the flesh (‘this world’) and pits us against the Spirit. Anybody know of any more explicit statements?
God bless!
