Indult Mass in my area?

Hello Friends,

Could anyone tell me how to locate an “Indult Mass” (I hope I am saying that correctly) in my area? I am a revert hoping to experience the Tridentine Mass-- in a Church-Approved setting, of course.

Forgive me if I am using any of these terms incorrectly. I’m still pretty clueless on many things! :o

I live in a rural area, but the closest “big city” to me is Bakersfield, CA.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! 🙂

Most churches offering the TLM will have a missal available so that you will know what is going on. Try to follow along as best you can at first. I sat in the middle, and did what the people up front did! And remember if it is a low mass, follow the low mass rubrics, as they are different for other masses.

I wouldn’t worry about it. When you walk in the back, look for a missal. It will tell you what’s going on and what to say. If you are female, you might want to wear a mantill (veil) and a dress vs. slacks if you want to blend in although the Church does not require these. I, however, wouldn’t worry about looking stupid. Go for the Mass, not the people. If they have trouble with you then it’s more than likely their problem.
 
Hi Photini.Our parish is San Clemente.Fr.Joachim is our pastor.Indult mass is at 8am Sundays.Easy to find off of Hwy 178.Look for red bell tower.If you need missal look for large family seated on left front of church.My name is Joe Gallaher,wife is Roxane.We always like to see new faces at mass.We wont be there this Sunday{1-15},as we are taking our children to Mexico to be confirmed.Hope to see you soon and be sure to introduce yourself.Oh by the way this Sunday our Knights of Columbus council is having our monthly breakfast.MMM good.God Bless.Joe and Roxane Gallaher and family
